Community Website is up and running!

It has finally come to force: The community website is up and running!

In the last 3 weeks, we have been updating the game with improved networking, realistic environment (day/night cycle, weather conditions(snow, rain, sun), but also we have been working on the improvement of the interaction with the community.

We are developing this game for gamers, and for that reason we find that all of you have a say in how the game works! Ever had ideas for a game, but no one wanted to listen, or you didn't know where you could send your idea to? Not anymore! We are giving you the opportunity and we are listening!

At our community forums, you can register and just tell us the ideas that you have about OS101, or even games in general! Everything will be carefully studied as time goes by, the people with the best ideas will be credited for their ideas, and you will receive a copy of the game for free!

Join us now @ Infernixe.com and take part in some serious game developing!

We hope to see you soon!

We could probably add support to turn Killstreaks on and off via lobby host easily, in fact thats a great idea, ill suggest it to the coders :)

Thanks

Interesting level design. I don't know how the campaign will work, it sounds a little complex and could be a real time suck. I'd focus on a solid multiplayer to get the game rolling and then maybe with the popularity you might have a stronger team to work out the singleplayer. But then again I am assuming a lot, and I really don't know the project's situation, so I don't know how strongly you should even take that advice?

Good luck though, I'll be watching the game's progress.

Yes we are working on the Multi-Player first before we start on the campaign, so far we are aiming to release the game with the first hour of the campaign, to keep the money coming in we will be charging for the campaign in parts but I am happy to say that all maps we release for multi-player will be free :)

thanks :)

hey thinking of using the Esenthel Engine how big is the learning curve ?

The learning curve depends heavily on your current knowledge. If you have, let's say, 3 years of C++ experience, your curve is extremely steep. There are a lot of tutorials for everything that you need, that ships freely with the SDK. There are also some videos explaining the basics. Lastly I would like to add that Esenthel is very intuitive.
