One day in 2029, you wake up in a smiley headset, finding yourself situated in an unknown community called “Hope.” Everyone there is in the same outfit, living the same routine, and being happy. Until a foggy memory starts flickering in your mind, the disclosure of an absurd history is going to begin to unfold.
With unique hand-drawn art and original soundtracks, this 2D side-scroller is set in a surreptitious and futuristic world that resembles Hong Kong. You will be able to interact with a group of neighbors, and engage with tons of challenging and immersive mechanisms to solve puzzles. Every action you take throughout your adventure will decide you and your neighbors' fate and the ultimate ending.

Name of The Will is a story-driven 2D side-scroller, bringing you a daunting and perhaps healing experience. “The game originates in our reflection towards the political situation in Hong Kong,” said Mandy Wong, Co-founder of Zeitgeist Studio. “The recent years are marked by our agony and turmoil. While we are gradually accepting the ‘new normal,' 2021 may be the time to ponder and introspect. We believe this game can accompany you through this inescapable stage of uncertainty, influence people across race and culture, and connect more souls of similar experiences.”
Since November 2019, Zeitgeist Studio has reached the stage of game conception and part of puzzle design. The funding goal will contribute to expanding the game system with a bonus ending, rooms customization and more encounters. It will also assist the team to apply for game festivals and competitions.
Name of The WIll is expected to release in 2022 for Mac, Windows and Linux.
