I know everyone always picks on the french today, but in this game, and in reality, France was very powerful and sometimes superior even to that of England or the HRE.
In M2 The french have the best heavy cavalry in the game. I played as the french one time on campaign and grew to respect the faction quite a bit. granted I play stainless steel nowadays, it's up there with my favorites alongside Kievan Rus *SS*, Hungary and the HRE
i like the english armored swordsman they have less upkeep then feudal knights and the long bow men are amazing. but then i am also a huge fan of the bazantine empire romans for the win!
Tsars guard are the best cav in the game.
