Far far away in a distant galaxy, the ancient race of Goddesaphans must migrate every thousand years in order to survive. They must travel through a mysterious planet filled with ancient machinery and treacherous hazards. Guide the Goddesaphans to the swirling portals so their race can survive another thousand years.
Since Mecha World was designed for the mobile platform, and was mostly just a test for us, we didn't spend much time on porting aside from the basics to get it working. It is fully playable on PC but some of you might have noticed some mobileitis that are leftover from the porting.
We are putting pretty much all our time into our upcoming game Tiny Troopers at the moment (Tiny Troopers Facebook.com Page), which will be seeing a multiplatform release later this year. But since we decided to release our first game Mecha World for free here on Desrua, it has been getting a bit more attention than we thought it would.
As a result, we are considering revisiting it and revamping the game a bit to make it a better experience on the PC, including possible upgrades to the graphics and effects in the game to better utilize the power present in the PC over mobile platforms.

I just had a look at Tiny Troopers and it looks a lot like it's inspired by cannon fodder. I hope it is a bit like cannon fodder. And if it plays like cannon fodder even in the slightest way, it would be an instant buy. But there is one problem. What's up with all this mobile device gaming stuff? If this game is any good you should consider a port to Windows/Linux. For me playing games on mobile devices is just ...ah you know. it's meh. ^^
You are indeed correct. Our upcoming title Tiny Troopers was very heavily influenced by Cannon Fodder. The reason we have so much mobile stuff is because we primarily focus on mobile games. However, we also use Unity for development. While at first we had only planned to do quick ports when applicable for our games, we have found that working with Unity is very flexible. As a result the mobile version and PC/Mac version of our upcoming title have controls and graphics to suit their respective platforms. We are extremely happy with the controls we settled on for the mobile version of the game, but of course touchscreen controls don't really translate to a PC well, so we totally redid the controls for it and it plays much more like the original Cannon Fodder in that respect.
thank you for this detailed answer. I just noticed i sounded a bit harsh on mobil gaming in my post. this wasn't intended. I just wanted to point out that mobiles are not the devices I usually play on and I enjoy playing on other hardware devices more. that's it. No disrespect to people that like mobiles. I'd like to see a joystick remake based on competition pro brought to modern standards :-P See, it's really just me getting old :)
I also played Mecha World for a while and I see why this perfectly works on mobiles/pads. I rly liked the ambient music in that one and gameplay is quite a bit challenging (on PC) too.
I
The tittle says Mecha World and i tought its a game with Mechs not such puff balls
The Mecha World comes from the environment which is an old mechanical world. The name of the game was originally Foozles which better described the game as that i what we called the little puff balls. But there was a big mess with that and someone else using the same name around the exact same time we did so we just changed the name. This game was a test for us using Unity to develop. It runs much better on mobile devices as it was designed with that in mind. We are currently working on a major title we have had in production for 8 months now called Tiny Troopers, which will see a release this summer. We spent maybe a month making this and getting used to working with Unity.
We are happy to release our first title here on Desura :D
