Kotobukiya’s Liara T’Soni Bishoujo Figure’s Adorable

Japanese toy maker Kotobukiya has already welcomed a few Comic-Con friendly femme fatales to its "bishoujo" line of beautifully sculpted figures. They started with superheroines from Marvel and DC Comics, but now they're moving on to video games. Kotobukiya has already welcomed some Tekken characters into the fold, but the company is also recruiting some Western alien talent. Mass Effect 3's blue-skinned beauty Liara T'Soni will join the bishoujo line with a new statue based on the Shunya Yamashita drawing seen here.

There are some alterations from the artwork, most notably the boob-squishing, but that’s not a change I mind as it feels very “Shunya.” The detail work on her looks fantastic, with every little seam of her suit sculpted. Kotobukiya works pretty fast, so we should be seeing her painted quite soon. Just saw this on the Mass Effect facebook page and thought you guys might be interested.

That’s not all, there’s some release info for this lovely lady as well! She will retail for ¥6,200, and it’s safe to say that her US price will be around $59.99 like all of the other girls. No month was given, but this 1/7 scale alien will be coming out sometime in 2012–spring is my best guess! So, how do you feel about Liara now that she is sculpted, and which BioWare character would you like to see next?

Damn that's expensive, and i was really looking forward to getting one of these because Liara is my favorite character. Anyway next character i would like to see is Miranda Lawson in her jumpsuit :)

Can you take her clothes off like some Japanese anime figures?

You honestly... *facepalm*

Am I the only one who could care less about this. The entire line of figures has shown once again why I grudgingly debate the viability of anime.

Actually the detail level of the sculpture is quite awesome. About anime style... IMO it depends on the taste of the viewers.
