Mapographer is a cartography tool to easily draw maps of fantasy or real life worlds. Just paint the land mass, draw the terrain and place mountains, hills, trees and other places on it. You can simply customize it by adding own brushes, textures and symbols (like mountains, trees etc)
Shaders are supported now. You can use them to easily change the hole look of your map. Just select the "Black and White" shader and you got a b/w map. Have a look at this image to see some shaders in action.
The next feature to be done is called "Overlays". Overlays are just simple repeated (mostly large) images drawn over the hole map. So you can add grids or paper textures to make you map look more realistic.
Then all the main features are complete. But there are still some important things left: change map size, scrolling, save, load and export the map.
Complex lines are done. You can use custom images to draw lines now. I also added simple, dotted, dashed and squared lines. Guess this is all we need.
The base for the line tool is done. Add, Move and delete lines just with your mouse *yay*
Captions can be added to the map now. You can modify the font, size, color and stuff like that. The only thing left is to bend text. No idea how to do...
Will this create Vector images?
No bitmap. But you can export the masks as well which can be used as base for vectors.
This. I need this. It looks amazing!
Thanks ^^
It won't take that long until the first beta release ;)
