The game is unique in the way it allows the user has to affect the environment based on his or her preference. Each part of the code is designed to reuse basic parts of the system, so that sections of the game can be reused and redesigned, or changed into each other, without needing to create new code. At the core structure of LAIR are the Entity Generator, Map Generator, and the AI. Together, these three components allow for a game that constantly generates new situations, monsters, items, and an endless supply of character choices and actions. LAIR is designed to be whatever the user makes it. It provides the template and a starting point for the user, with the ending result being anything the user decides. The basics are all there, but it's a game entirely generated by YOU.

I made this back when LAIR was programmed in FreeBASIC, but now LAIR is programmed in C++.
