A survival shooter set in Central Asia after the end of civilization.
These guys are all wearing heavy body armour, attack with extreme accuracy and aren't afraid to use grenades and flashbangs. Essentially, you're fucked.

I think you need standard army helmets, and different facial expressions. Yet I love the idea of flashbang and headshot immune :D

default is to close to the leader. Get rid of the whole "headshot immune" mask on top of the immune for flashbangs guy, you should give that guy protection for his ears, the thing make a lot of noise + it's also better for the player to identify the character if you give them different stuff on there head that has a different shape, almost the same shape = the same shape from a distance while playing = confusing for the player.
well spetznatz actually have helmets like that & are bulletproof to an extent. Its made with titanium + other composites & can even stop a NATO 5.56 from like 800+ meters i believe :/ I do know that the helmet does stop all non armor piercing rounds. The Flash bang immune guy is realistic. a flash bang will make him temporarily deaf but not blind :/

From a gameplay perspective it seems weird that you'd make shots to the head (which is a relatively small portion of the body) discouraged, while encouraging bodyshots, which are much easier to get. It seems like it'd make more sense to give him a lot of body armor and a relatively exposed head.
The facemask is supposed to break the "shoot for the head" mentality, so you have to suddenly change your aim in the middle of a fire fight.
While that's always a good thing (tip for the CS players - soldiers are trained to shoot for centre of mass, not the head), I'm not too keen on the facemask stopping rounds completely. It strikes me as more of a safeguard against blunt force, blades, shrapnel or other slower ballistic objects.
Still, it doesn't hurt to encourage proper shooting.

I agree that the "flashbang-immune" soldier should have ear protection - one of the most disorienting features of a flashbang is the sound (it is powerful enough to burst ear drums).

I'm pretty sure that riot masks don't stop bullets. At least not anything bigger than a pistol rounds at least.
As for helmets, those are primarily to protect against shrapnel. A well aimed assault rifle shot will put you down regardless.
As for the face, the only thing I find wrong with it is the "durh..." expression, with wide eyes and mouth slightly open, he looks kinda silly. But I guess you'll change/animate that, making it look better.
As for adding a balaclava to the model, I think you should add one such as a variation (These without them being regular troops, guarding areas, patrolling. The shock troops though, counter-attacking the players position, would conceal their faces. Why? Because it's cool).
Same goes for gasmasks (Again, because they're cool, no other reason needed). Though that might require a entirely different model (One in full NBC gear).
The belt pouches also look way too bulky. Might want to make them smaller, like magazine sized width, 2 magazines depth.

Don't get me wrong here, it's already an awesome model, there are just minor detail requests based on my personal preference.
The face being blank and having the mouth open is deliberate, so it can be animated/morphed or whatever.
You're right about the pouches though, I subconsciously knew they weren't right but got a bit lazy xP, thanks a lot for those references! those are great I'm gonna get working on some new pouches now ;D.
Oh and gas masks and other headgear isn't hard to implement onto the model.

yes, but just like how his current stance is it will change once it is rigged to a skeleton so it won't be open in-game, unless you scare him that is ;)
