The people of the town have ruined the ecosystem of the town. Trees are extremely scarce; you only see two when you start up the game. Everyone has moved out but two people, whose names aren't even pronouncable; the last remnants of what once was. With the lack of people to care for the environment, flowers withered away, and with their death, weeds flourished, and smog has polluted the air of the town. Being a foreign species, one in which the last villagers vaguely remember, they place the responsibility of cleaning up the town on you. The town will slowly show signs of improving, people will move in with names that can be spoken, and the smog will be lifted. However, if you fall behind and ignore the town, history will repeat itself.
It's been just a little over a month since I last updated the game, and I've finally gotten enough added to update the game. I've finally added some music and sound, as well as some other personality types. Some graphics have been redone as well. You can now sell objects at the town well as well as check the town's appeal. Buying stuff has been redone and you can now select and name your character and town. A frog species has also been added.
Some graphics have been changed, some of the storyline has been implemented, new personality types are in, as well as multiple other (maybe) exciting...
Alpha 2 of Human Passage. Bug fixes such as bad generation and getting stuck as well as crashes are included.

I don't know what you mean by a jar file, but I first clicked the application, then the launch thingy within the HumanPassage folder, and something popped up then exited.

I tried to download Alpha 3 and Alpha 2 of this; neither have worked or loaded. How do I get the game to work? I am so enthusiastic about playing. Also I think this game is worthy of having a site and a cute little forum if a small community develops.
Could you launch the batch or shell file (depending on whether you're on Windows or OS X) and try to catch a screenshot of what it says? Also note that on OS X, you can't launch the jar directly - you must use the shell file. And I'll be getting hosting soon!
I'm tracking, and downloading. This reminds me of Animal Crossing, will this ever support multiplayer?
Once the game is almost done, I may try to get multiplayer support.
:D saw this game on Tigsource forums and totally forgot what it was called, but here it is!
this game is like when i dream
Not sure how to open the game... the cmd file just opens and closes the cmd line.
You could also try the .jar file as well. .cmd is optional for Windows; the .sh file is mandatory for Mac as far as I know.
Ha ha, I'm a dolt. My Java was corrupted. Something I kind of knew in the back of my head but didn't bother to fix. All good now!
