Graphite Knight is a hand-drawn, 2D platformer with melee combat. It is still in early development, and I am excited to see what it turns into.

Hello again! I am excited to share what I have added to my game, Graphite Knight.

New Character: I finally added my hand-drawn character art to replace the AI-generated placeholder. I had originally just made a sketched copy of the AI version, but I never really liked how it looked in the engine. I experimented a little and made a new, more stylized design, pictured below. It's not the final design, but I like it much better than the old one.

Pause menu: I added a pause menu a while back, but it was mostly for show and didn't actually pause anything. I finally decided to fix that, so now it is possible to pause at any time during the side-scrolling parts of the game.

Multi-Language Support: Another thing that I implemented early on was multi-language support using Unity's localization package. Currently, I have set it to support English, French, and Spanish. You can change the language from the pause menu, and it saves and loads your choice from an encrypted file.

Dash: Finally, I added a dash ability that allows the player to dash through enemies.

That's all for now, though I hope to work on this game more during the Summer!
