There's too many flaws that weren't present in the original games.

This is what happens when the entire driving force behind a project is greed. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy is a disaster and there are many culprits for this mess:

The biggest is Take2, who obviously doesn't care about the legacy of this great series and are more than willing to remove decade old mods, many new and great works such as Re3 and ReVC, punish/sue fans for modding and improving their favorite games and so on, only for money. The reason behind those lawsuits and removals were that those fan made content was not only better than their end product but also posed a hypothetical threat for Definitive Edition in terms of revenue. The removal of the original games from the stores was also a terrible decision that was only made so any newcomer would only stumble upon the Definitive Edition and only Definitive Edition, forcing them to buy it with no other alternatives.

Another culprit is Rockstar Games, for once again choosing Grove Street Games AKA War Drum for the job, even after they messed up once with the mobile project. Also Sam Houser for not batting and eye, apparently not even questioning many inferior design changes made to both the gameplay and the feel of the games, even after nearly everyone who made GTA the way it is left due to the increasingly hostile environment and clashes with the vision, he simply stays silent. Goes to show that Rockstar is fine with being a company who does nothing but sell shark cards and milk its cash cow, GTA: Online while the games that "made" their company gets mistreated and bastardized.

And lastly, Grove Street Games, who actually became the scapegoat for the mistakes of the upper management. Even though they worked on the games they are not really at fault. They were obviously not right for the job and shouldn't have been picked for handling three of the most important games ever made. Even though GSG is the lesser problem, they still made mistakes by making extremely baffling design choices, giving the games needless censorship and overall doing a poor job handling the three games.

Overall, this so called "Definitive Edition" is nothing more than a ripoff which was created exclusively to milk money from the loyal fans who still love the original games. The worst thing about this fiasco is that this was probably the only chance for these fantastic games to be remade/remastered and we will probably never see proper versions besides these butchered mess.

Well done Rockstar, it was a very interesting and wonderful idea, but the outcome was honestly unfinished and rushed. I don't recommend it.

I don't think I have to show and tell why this remake/remaster is a complete joke.
