Make way for Gears of Eden 2.6.1! The hallmark of this update comes in two forms: controller support and ... enemies?? Fry my circuits, what's a machine supposed to do?
Our Alpha 2.6 update is now live!! With it, Gears of Eden now features an array of improvements, each targeted at a different aspect of the game.
Crafting has gotten a little more physical, and a little more real in this update, with the inclusion of oil, a necessary resource for those pesky moveable parts. This asteroid isn't rich in the stuff, however, which means you'll need to find it some other way. Maybe the previous residents left some behind ...
Of course, to get to that precious oil, you'll now have to fight your way past the first foe of Gears of Eden: the fearsome (and tiny) creatures dubbed "M-Zecksis" that have taken over the asteroid while you slept. There's something strange about these little crab monsters though, and it seems they don't appreciate your spectrometer. For whatever that's worth.
And if you're like us and like to get comfy during long gaming sessions, you might be excited to learn that Gears of Eden now features Controller Support! This has been a long time coming, because for us? Gears of Eden is a game that begs for a controller.
And with all that said; we at Gears of Eden would love your help. After all, these are important features with a lot of kinks to work out. If you want to help us really put the screws to these new systems, please do stop by the Gears of Eden discord to get in touch with us! (We also like to hang out, so that's welcome too!)
Thank you all so much for your continued support, and we hope that you have a terrific weekend!
