In game design, music plays a big role when creating the overall gameplay feel and atmosphere. While composing, my goal is to create music that brings out the ambience in the game world and works with it as a whole.
Galactic Conquerors has a unique way of using simultaneous turns in gameplay. There will be variation between different scenes during the game, such as battle- and roam phases on each round. This kind of situation requires lots of consideration when designing the soundtrack. Music needs to adapt to those changes without breaking the ambience and without too much repetition. The challenge is to achieve a soundtrack that supports the gameplay in its various different situations.
