The official page of Fist of Victory, where you can get the game, is here.
Fist of Victory is an Indie PC Kung Fu Fighting game. The game style is 2D, similar to classics such as Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. However, the fighting engine and system is entirely different. It also features different fighting styles from China such as Dragon Style, Eagle Claw, Wing Chun, Hung Gar, Lost Track, Leopard and so on.
The fighting game engine attempts to move away from the button-bashing style of most fighting games. All moves are classified under different strengths. Some moves are cheap/weak and some are strong. Weaker moves tend to be executed faster and stronger moves often need a lot of setup time. However, weaker moves connect most of the time and stronger moves are easier to dodge. But the opponent's health level can also affect the dodging. Therefore, when an opponent is hurt, stronger moves have a higher chance to hit! With this system, it is possible to implement some sort of technique or strategy that can be combined with reflexes and speed.
Game modes include Story Mode, Arcade and Versus.
