In a surprise move, developer CCP Games has announced that its flagship Oculus Rift launch title, EVE: Valkyrie, will be coming to the HTC Vive later this year.

Though the multiplayer space simulator was never exclusive to the Oculus Rift, having been announced for the PlayStation VR late last year as well, the game being bundled with every Rift purchase made a PC-exclusivity to the Rift seem apparent. That's not the case, however, as of today.
CCP has not released any more details about how EVE: Valkyrie will work on the Vive, which leaves us with many questions. As a primarily seated VR experience, what will the Vive's room-scale VR bring to the game? Will the Vive's motion controllers be utilised at all? And will players of both the Vive and Rift versions be able to dogfight each other, cross-platform?
Beyond a projected release date of later this year, it seems we'll have to wait for any of those questions to be asked. The EVE: Valkyrie Founder's Pack, which requires a Rift Consumer Version, can currently be purchased from the game's website.
