Dungeonthing is a mix up of roguelike dungeon crawling and puzzle adventure.
You need to think carefully about where you place your next step, check the enemy compass and weigh your chances.

Game features:
7 by 9 grid of dungeon tiles.
12 different tiles, some interactive
4 items
2 enemy types
A compass that points to the nearest enemy.
Another that points towards the exit.

The base mechanic is very simple. You can see what's adjacent to you, but you can move adjacent AND diagonal. Step next to an enemy and it has initiative to hurt you. Step onto it from a diagonal tile and you get no damage as you have initiative.
Throw into the mix switching damage tiles such as spikes that turn on/off every step you take, and enemies that push you back a tile and you'll enjoy a nice double health penalty. Fortunately there's potions, damage shields and resurrection anhks.

The game is divided into adventures, each of which has a special loot item that changes the rules. (such as more vision, or additional attack radius) The adventures are divided into levels, a single level is one 7 by 9 grid.

Also included is a level editor to make your own game adventure.
