Dungeon Dive is a local multiplayer, procedural dungeon-crawling game show that takes place in a world of high fantasy. Divers (or as some may call them, 'heroes'), pit steel and magic against the challenges set before them by the relentless and clever Divemaster, with the promise of wealth and fame should they succeed. There is more to Dungeon Diving than hacking, slashing and spell-slinging, as the Divemaster has gone to great pains to insure that the studio audience and those watching at home have a spectacle truly worth appreciating. Traps, games of chance and wit, limitless swarms of monstrous enemies and the very dungeon itself stands between a Diver and their prize. Do you dare to Dungeon Dive?

Does anyone else find it hard to post regularly about updates while trying to actually work on them?

Anyway, Dungeon Dive has received a number of upgrades since the first demo.

Additions

  • Discrete hit point mechanic added
  • Configurable inventory
  • Dive Mode added as intra-level minigame
  • Combo mechanic added to encourage bonus seeking
  • Equipment pickups can now be obtained by exploring levels
  • Merchant added for acquiring items and spells
  • Ultra lite pause menu with volume control and in-game quit button
  • Gamepad support for gameplay (Not currently working to navigate menus or UI)
  • Dual-analog joystick support with configurable controls
  • A larger and more visible in-game cursor
  • A Health Bar (does what you think it does)
  • Loot Drop! - Spend gold during a Dive to call down a chest containing helpful loot (just don’t stand underneath when it lands)
  • The Divemaster Showcase - Occasionally the Divemaster will appear and offer you an opportunity to buy different equipment to use while diving. This ties in to the next piece…
  • More equipment! Now there are multiple Hats and Staves for our Wizard to explore the use of. Find them all!

There is still quite a bit to build to get the game loop feeling complete.
