In Disco Danger your job is to help Disco Dave and a collection of other equally delirious and dexterous dancers find their way across the dancefloor to a partner. Better hurry, you’ve only got so long before the song ends. That’d be bad, wouldn’t it? The dancers are particular about how to move. If you’re on the floor, you’ve got to move to the beat. The beat has a specific colour matched to it and the tiles of the dance floor will change in time with this beat. Disco Dave and co can only move onto a tile that has a colour that matches the beat. It’s the rules of the dance floor, you know.

Thanks to those who played the Beta. The feedback that was given was very useful, and I can't wait to show you guys what we've updated. Also: Would anyone like 'costumes' for the DJ or dance floor? A little bit of musing for the road, as it were.

Good evening everybody! This will only be a short update of Disco Danger's current state.
To those who played the Open Beta of Disco Danger, I give you a metaphorical round of applause. It is wonderful that people are interested in this, and the feedback I've been getting is useful to further the development of this game.

I can promise that some of the complaints will be answered in the form of a brief tutorial at the beginning of the game, some people have identified that they didn't know what to do early on and got a bit stuck.

Funky Frances

The next thing is more diversity of character skins. Funky Francis will be still there for paid, but anyone will start the game with either one or two other characters to choose from. Since Francis is a paid item, it will stay that way so as to not cheat those who have already bought that skin.

DJ 1

Maybe a variation of the DJ as a possible unlock will be a thing? Just wait a few weeks...

Goal Male

Some of the art and animation needs to be cleaned up by the full release, not to mention a few buttons that may or may not have remained as the default Unity ones when we put the Beta up. Whoops. So far there haven't been reports of any bugs, which is good news, since we can use that time to instead iterate on what we have already.

Anyway, hope you all had fun with the Beta. Let me repeat myself: The Open Beta for Disco Danger will remain on this page's link till the end of this week. If you would like to try it and help us out, feel free to do so. Otherwise, just wait and see for the full version. Seeya!
