Darkness is a linear (with optional side-quests) first-person Horror Adventure game. Six people over the prior month have gone missing from a hotel. You, a hired detective, have been brought in to investigate. Only problem is, this investigation will be a bit more than you bargained for. The setting is in the early 1920s. World War 1 just ended, prohibition just got added as the 18th Amendment to the United States Constitution. The world is in a frenzy and you're at the thick of it, dealing with possibly one of the most unique cases you've ever had. Will you - Can you survive the darkness?
This is the current (as of May 15th, 2010) Options menu for Darkness. It's optimized to scale well, but it does stretch a bit far out in the upper resolutions (intend on fixing this).
Keen eyes may notice that there's no option for enabling Anti-Aliasing and such. The reason me leaving out these more advanced options is that you don't really need them. Even at the highest settings I could enable, a dedicated Nvidia 6200 w/ 128 MB of RAM could run the game. The only requirements, as of this time, are that you have a dedicated video card with 128 MB of RAM as well as Pixel Shader 3.0 support.
Oops, typo. Should be 1680x1050
