GODDAMN!!!! that's all i can say
Not cartoony enough D:
Thats the charm of the old Crash Bandicoot games, that they were solid platformers with colorfull enviroments and wacky characters.
This looks way too realistic.
I think you might be confusing 'bright and colourful' with 'cartoony'. What we have here is really awesome, pretty, and fits perfectly well with HD Crash.
I agree with both, but still I think green stuff should be as green as the grass on the right, and not as desaturated as the bush on the left rock....
Another idea is to contrast the bright colourful elements pervasive in Crash Bandicoot with the duller environments characteristic of Crysis. That could prove to be rather visually distinctive.
Precisely what I do!
I try to combine both realism and cartoon. Finding a balance is really complicated.
We are in 2011, we need some realism. Its good to keep it a bit cartoony but people like high quality graphics.
The game isnt ONLY for us nostalgic Naughty Dog crash players its also for the new gamers who can be introduced to Crash, which was the start of gaming. IMO
GREAT
