Cold Contract offers you to lead a team of mercenaries on an procedurally generated battlefield, with a real-time part for your decisions and a turn-based part on isometric battlefield for the battles.
We have developed our game in an old-schoold spirit.
We have reached a new major point of our development:
- Story manager has been added and linked to missions;
- New portraits have been created to introduce the story;
- AI has got a new tree for decisions, making the behavior of enemies more realistic and now we have a better flexibility to add new one;
- Balance of the game has been adjusted to obtain an easier game at the beginning;
- Characters have got a new pose when they are ready to fire which is more aggressive and realistic;
- The world map has got new icons, and a line of path when selecting target for squads;
- We have also added new information when selecting an enemy on the isometric battlefield. You can now know his vision area, level of skills, level of aiming and level of detection;
- A new automated system has been developed to test the isometric turn-based part in order to eradicate bad bugs;
- A warehouse has been added to manage weapons and material between each member of the team.
What we think now : it is time to get an active feedback.
So we have decided to release our game as an early access shortly.
We still need a little time to be ready but only some adjustments and last validations are needed.
What you can expect in the future early access release:
- Generate a complete environment with twenty-five locations (variety of tiles will depend of our free time for this part);
- Full access to real-time section of the game;
- Full access to isometric battlefield and its options;
- Upgrade your base camp with nineteen options on twenty five (always under development at this stage);
- Hire your team and improve your team-mates with all perks;
- Access to missions depending of story and random generator (but without scripting);
- The complete story briefings;
- The shop with twenty-five weapons and other supports materials like grenades, ammos, medical packs;
- AI active on real-time environment and turn-based environment with her full potential (current level of development).
We are also preparing an in-game video to show dynamically the content of our game.
