In a near future, all the arcade cabinets finished in a huge dump. The Jamma world is dying.Fortunately, a little generic arcade cabinet, named Gen, is reactivated by a sudden lightning. At this moment, he's assigned to an important mission : collect the maximum Jamma game cards and bring them back to the mysterious "Castle of Nostalgia" in order to save the Jamma world.
This game is a tribute to the 80's and 90's arcade videogames of my youth.
It's a one man game (code/graph/anim/sounds) so it may take a while before it is finished. But it will be free! :)
It was a long time since I've made a video for CoinOp Story.
I'm working hard again on the game and can now show how it looks like in the Alpha version.
Lots of small improvements since the preAlpha version. (new HUD, voicing, bugs correction, optimization...etc.)
I hope you will enjoy!
Hello all, I'm working back on 'CoinOp story' after a few months on another job. And to celebrate that, here is the first visual of the 'Dip Switch Cave...
In the game, Gen will visit a mysterious temple, called the 'Betzel Temple'. Here are the first screenshots and the music of the area!
Finally the playable demo of CoinOp Story is now downloadable. Enjoy being an arcade cabinet to save the Jamma World!
Here are some musics I've composed for the game. I've decided to work the soundtrack as a mix between symphony and chiptune. I think it's quite interesting...

Can't even download the alpha demo anymore lol.
This is what you call an abandoning dev. Doesn't even officially cancel his project. Just lets some people be faithful and interested and betrays and abandons them.
Hate that type of person with a passion.
Is this still in development? I hope so. Was looking forward to it.
Howdy. Matt from metroidvanias.com checking in.
How's the game coming along? It's been a few months since the last news.
Hello Matt,
The game is still in development.
I'm working in it on my free time but I'm quite busy for some months. I hope to finish it this year! That's my goal. :)

Ce jeu a l'air vraiment intéressant et très sympa, mais je ne trouve pas ou est le lien vers le téléchargement.
Merci d'avance

Would you be interested in Wii U development?
Well no. I focus my energy on the PC version. Then I will export the Mac & Linux versions.
But I'm not targeting the Wii U because :
*I will need a devkit
*I'm not a company, just a man
*The copyright issues I have in my game will probably stop the procedure with Nintendo.
