Hello!
As I announced before I'm going to post a series of few tutorials for Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, specifically how to make simple missions in ChromED Editor.
First tutorial went out and you can check it out. I'm showing there how to change player character's skin, as well as PROOF that it works. It's an easy task to do! I forgot to mentoin, that you need to follow the video carefully, as I discovered that changing slightly the values of our character (ex.: under Mesh category: mesh name to your skin name) the editor will fire up some errors and you couldn't be able to fix it - or you would need to change the values to the previous ones. This tutorial was made specifically for people who never knew how to actually do that - with it you can finally make missions with some other different characters not only Thomas & Ray :)
Tutorial:
This task is done by simply putting a sensor on where the player is located at, and then selecting correct actions when the player character is actually "in the sensor" - you can check it out how it's made in the video.
Thank you, and hope I helped you. Next tutorial will be about making a simple mission, not with one objective but with multiple objectives! Stay tuned.
Impressive. I wonder if it's possible to create a custom player character model
I don't remember. So far I know - you can swap model heads somehow. But if cojmodding would still exist I would try to learn because it had alot of tutorials on their website back in the day, and test missions from devs themselfs and I don't have those files so I can't look up few things :( you know these files with real in-game missions converted to work on the editor.
[EDIT - 09:40 AM] - I actually saw custom models at one of the maps Gunsmoke at Zancara City. It's highly bugged but if you'll skip cutscenes you can see a lady that has a custom skin & custom posters - so its somehow possible, you need to know however where to put these things.
I know it's possible to do custom statics but no idea about custom players
