Blaze is a retro/minimalistic styled sci-fi first person flight/shooter action game. The game can be played almost single handedly with just mouse. It's about shooting a lot of alien things (in semi-randomized missions?). The alien things are trying capture all your base, and have already captured at least half of it. You have to defend the base and capture the alien controlled areas back. Or something like that...

This looks better visually.
And when you have custom player skins, shirt / pant colors are overrated anyway.

This is a sweet looking palette!
I'd like to know, what process do you go through to make your game palette? How do you determine what colors you are going to want to use, and how many shades you'll need?

I have a love affair with 256 color game palettes, and I'd love to hear how you decided that these are the colors you wanted to use with this game.

Description

With a license to paint.

This palette is more compatible with particle effects. If the colors/shades are in multiples of 8, the particle builtin spawns correct colors.

It should also be mostly compatible with other default particle effects. Maybe the yellow for the rocket trails/explosions could be brighter.

Not going to use the shirt/pants thing or fullbrights. Players will have fewer colors and fullbrights will be done with glow maps.
