To celebrate the occasion that EA has made BF1942 free. I have, in collaboration with Jens-Christian Fobian Thomsen, Lasse Helmersen, Lotte Sørensen and Martin Kulmbak Nielsen made a DogFight map, as bf1942 lack such a map.

DogFight v1.1: Fixed invisible sandbags occurring on clients.
v1.2: Fixed invisible ammo box; re-added Hangar which got deleted in v 1.1 (final version)
A map made for fair Air fighting with various planes.
This map was made to cover the lack of dogfighting maps.
The map includes 2 planes for each side of the following:
- Aichival *
- B17 Bomber
- BF109 A.K.A Messerschmitt
- Corsair
- Mustang
- SBD *
- Spitfire
- Zero
*Placement of these is relative on the ground or the hangar ship, dependent of team selection.
All plane spawns with exception for the bomber and hangar ship, is provided with ammo and repair. Both bases has an arsenal of AA guns to protection against enemy attacks. The idea is that it is OK to attack an enemy base, but not to steal all their planes.
The map is split in the middle with ground and spikes to aid with navigation for pilots. (image)
Special thanks to: Lasse Helmersen, Martin K. Nielsen, Lotte Ringhauge, Jens-Chrisitan F. Thomsen for helping with ideas and testing the map.

Wow, seems pretty cool. But where exactly do I put this file? In the "Mods" file, or in the Mods/bf1942 file? I would appreciate if you guys can help me!
mods bf1942 then search a folder called levels then you put it into that
Install: Extract the rfa file to "..\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives\bf1942\levels" folder
Example: E:\Programmer\Origin\Games\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives\bf1942\levels

What has happened to server? Haven't seen it online in quite a few days now....
I haven't been available this weekend. And I'm behind a firewall on my university the most of the day, so I can't provide one.
