0 A.D. is a free, open-source, cross-platform real-time strategy (RTS) game of ancient warfare. It's a historically-based war/economy game that allows players to relive or rewrite the history of twelve ancient civilizations, from Iberia to Mauryan India, each depicted at their peak of economic growth and military prowess. Developed using Pyrogenesis, a ground-breaking new game engine custom-built to suit this project, 0 A.D. will give players a rich and entertaining real-time gaming experience.

With Alpha II coming out soon, here are some preview images. Image 1: Celtic Colony. You can see some of the new Celtic buildings, along with some old Celtic buildings that have been given a fresh coat of paint.
These models are really great guys. It's like we have a brand new age of empires upcoming =)

And AoE have a other Engine and no 3d Modells!
I agree. It does remind me of Age of Empires in many ways. Can't wait until they get to beta stage.
This is actually the first image that really looks 3D to me. The others all look oddly just like it's 2D with rendered 3D models. Even in video it gives me this impression. I don't really think that's bad or good, just interesting.
But it all looks amazing. :D

I get the feeling that this is the race i'll be playing most of the game. I like Celts.
