What's up with the sick ads? Thread

There are ads of the crime organization known as scientology, but there are also ads of games where you punch women and their babies especially.
Does anyone really click on these ads or are they only meant to be a cash cow that everyone knows doesn't do much but everyone pretend it does?

Could you link to a site which uses them? Id be curious who really uses them...
Is it even legal?

They're google ads which means they display ads according to your google searches. So what have you been searching lately?

Anyway, if IndieDB's main income is ads no one really clicks it's kind of sad. If I recall last time I was told to use ad blocker.
I don't have a problem with ads, just I prefer the ads to be gaming related and not from companies trying to pretend they are about games.

Not seen those ads, but seems anywhere by the UK get the worst ads. I only seen ads for cleaning products, films and games.

Had those your computer is slow, or need a virus, those are terrible. They seem to target new internet/computer users with that method.
Internet advertising is some of the worst though, what they do to get clicks and lead people through to some other website or force a download.

Others wont always see the same ads as you, as they are regional based, i see uk adverts for uk stuff, in aus i see aus adverts for aus companies or products.

Screen cap the adds and report them in the adverts thread if they are inappropriate.

It wouldn't have google as they don't do those kind of adverts.
Its that ad provider which appears similar, that url itself a misleading redirect.
