I recently posted a news article announcing my game and am confused why it was archived and will not be shown on the homepage.
I've read the how-to and it seems to conform to all the requirements. I think it would be great if the admins had a combo box with a list of default archive reasons to give us some feedback (was going to suggest this, but already found it suggested!)

Here's the article, any advice on it's shortcomings would be greatly appreciated.

These images are huge and take ages to load.

They should be added to the games gallery then the thumbnail used.

The main issue i see is the news doesn't contain more than 3 images showcasing what your news is about, my news guide outlines whats needed to get your news authed first time everytime.

Hey usually 2 images are not enough to have your article frontpaged.

Below a few quick tips:
- at least 4+ images recommended however 1 single video (dev vlog) is even better; on the other hand somebody else's let's play's usually don't count at all towards the feature on the frontpage
- at least 3-4 multi-sentence/multi-line paragraphs of text, the more the better
- a regular blog post rather than an empty changelog is much preferred (some changelog can be added just as an extra, yet not as the main chunk of the article)
- both images/videos should be fresh (brand new)
- any release news takes precedent over progress updates (sometimes it is even let through as an exception even if it is not following guidelines above), and naturally, progress updates take priority over anything else

Formatting as such has only rather abysmal value of its own. You need both fresh media and some pretty good textual content (describing your recent progress to the smallest detail if possible) for your news to be more easily featured.
