I have never used any SDK before, I'm simply learning because I thought it would be interesting to create a map and mess around with Kismet. However I'm finding that you cannot create any detail in the engine, it seems to all have to be created somewhere else and imported. So I tried another SDK Source that came with HL2 and I'm loving it, I feel like I can create the level 100% inside the SDK. It's so easy to just make all the details in the SDK just from using simple tools. I can also place down textures, which I don't understand why you cannot in the UT07 SDK? I just feel like everything I want to do in it I have to import from somewhere else, all these meshes and prefabs and packages, Eurgh I just hate it lol.

What am I doing wrong? lol.

What is UT07 SDK?
If you are trying to use the Unreal Engine as a level design tool you need to download the UDK:

I'm using Source now I like it a lot better and I seem to be able to teach myself the basics after just watching a 20 min video of what everything does. I didn't get the whole carving out of mass thing, it seems like dumb way to do things. It is quite fun, like why haven't they made a sandbox game using the same concepts? Imagine Fortnite where you could build your own structures like this instead of using stupid prefabs. The only thing I don't like about Source is I'm trying to make a cylinder hallway that rotates but I can't make it look round lol, looks more hexagon shaped lol.
