Edain Mod 3.8.1 War of Dwarfs Campaign Saving Barracks Thread

Looking for some advice on the Edain Mod 3.8.1. I am posting this question for my son who is the player. He as been playing the 3.8.1 version Edain Mod. He is currently on the War of Dwarfs campaign, starting the third mission. his problem is at the start of the 3rd mission one of the objectives is to build barracks, which he can accomplish, but the game will not save anything upon completion, which then interfers with advancign further in the game. He is trying to figure out what might be missing perhaps, or if there is a flaw in the mod. Up until this point he hasn't encountered any other issues. Not sure what information would be helpful to include. Any help is appreciated.
