Creating a game Thread

Hey everyone. Im aiming to create a new game with an emphasis on fun. Ill be using the Unity game engine and the Blender modelling software.

The idea of this post is me asking you what would you want in a game to make it fun. post your ideas as a response and hopefully i can gain some inspiration for the game

I'm making a game with Unity 3D, but it's not easy make it fun. Your game is Single-Player or Multi-Player? What genre? And so on...

aiming for the game to be single player not sure on the genre as of yet probably and adventure game.

What makes a game fun varies very much on the type of game. What I consider "fun" could be completely different to someone else. If you are meaning light hearted fun then you'll want quirky characters, colourful and vibrant visuals, bit of humour and some amusing audio. I'm thinking of games like Plants Vs Zombies, Castle Crashers and Super Meat Boy. They are nice and vibrant.

You should make an endless jump roping game! Jump roping is as fun and adventurous as it gets.

thanks for the comments guys oxygenaddict you ve pointed out the exact thing im just starting to plan at the moment but thanks for the pointers and twitch maybe not a whole game on jump roping maybe an activity in the game.

Also the rope is a CHAIN made of KNIVES and it takes place over an active volcano.

When you're ready to get serious about making a fun game I think you know who to call.

Seems a bit bare... aren't most games supposed to be fun? Perhaps get some actual ideas together, thne people can expand on them.

Thread's been dead for 4 months now. I'm sure there's at least 50 identical ones made just last week to comment on.
