So, i have a question. Looking at the ship types, will the Corellian Medium Destroyer be able to take on the Dreadnought Heavy destroyer? Will it be based on skill? Or is the difference just not that noticeable?
Another question. Looking at the ships, we won't be able to challenge the NR/GE will we? Does that mean we will be stuck again as a minor faction? Our only enemy being the Hutts? That would be kinda limiting. But more cannon as Corellia as it's own system couldn't challenge the NR on it's own. But i guess the factions are going to be fixed?

Yes, a Corellian Medium Destroyer would be able to take on a Dreadnaught. It will take a bit more technical skill on the Corellian's part, though, but it can be done.
And no, the Corellians will not be able to challenge the NR/GE. They will be grouped as a minor and factions are going to be fixed. We wanted to make this mod as close to canon as we could without ruining gameplay.
Looking at the ship list seems you guys took out some of the Republic ships to fit the time line. Could some of outdated Republic ships be used by the Civilians like the Hammerhead-class cruiser doesn't have very much fire power and very outdated. They would give little teeth to the civs from attackers. They would end up in their hands anyways since new tech and refits for those old ships would not be a wise move by most fleets.
I really love the Hammerhead-class cruiser has to be my top 5 of all star wars ships :p
Shiplist is rigid and won't be adjusted before release. That being said, when the team comes back together to make an expansion pack, it could definitely be considered.

We decided not to because it bloats the size of the mod, as well as the code. It is on the agenda for our expansion, though.

He didn't destroy the plans for the Firespray just the prototypes Eamon Azzamean uses a FireSpray in X-wing Alliance as well so more were definitely made.
I have a question about the ships: will ships all be balanced out so that, for example, X-wings are directly inferior to, say, E-wings? or will TIE fighters just be inferior to TIE Defenders? Or will the faction ships be balanced out so that every ship has various strengths, letting basic fighters remain useful alongside advanced ones?
And will Faction ships all have direct counterparts in other factions? or will the "equivalent" ship types of two opposing factions be very different in terms of strengths and weaknesses?
