So here's the first article.
I basically made this mod because it's been something I've been wanting to do for a bit, and I love doom 3/Halo. I already had experience with modding the source engine, so I just had to learn some IDTech 4 specific things.
Anyways.
This mod replaces weapons, character models, sounds, items and props. And also updates in-game dates to align with the Halo timeline.
Demons are untouched, no covenant here. You're still blowing up demons (just in the halo universe).
Weapon List:
- Pistol - M6C Magnum with black/brown finish.
- Shotgun - M90A Shotgun
- Machinegun - M7 Socom SMG
- Chaingun - M247 GPMG
- Grenades - M9 Frag Grenades
- Plasma Gun - Experimental Plasma SAW
- Rocket Launcher - M57 Pilum
- BFG - Experimental Plasma Railgun
- Fists - Updated hands
- PDA - Updated Hands
- Soulcube - Updated Hands
- Chainsaw - Updated Hands
Updated Lore:
- All PDA and terminal dates updated to reflect the year the overhaul takes place in (2553)
- All audio logs updated to omit the year
- PDA Icons and descriptions updated to reflect the weapon replacements.
- UAC Mars Base takes place on the Olympus Mons, the largest mountain on Mars (Larger than MT Everest). Which explains why there is a lack of terraforming and oxygen.
- References to small events in the Halo Universe.

This looks awesome, hopefully the guns reflect the way they behave in the Halo games, but it would still be sick if the guns just have new textures with them.
