In the next release of the mod, players stats will be stored in MySQL server. It won't disappear each time the server switch maps. From now on, players can not only promote their rank, but also rank up their weapons, complete challenges and other awesome features that MySQL brings to the game.
I would like to thank Richard(phpcod) for his CoDExtended project, an extension that adds tons of enhancements, capacities for developers.
Q: Aren't these features from modsfabio?
A: No. modsfabio's program is called CoDExtreme. This is CoDUOExtended, the successor of CoDExtended for Call of Duty 1, which exists before CoDExtreme and has open source code. However, they share some similarities because they both use libcod.
Q: Will CoDUOExtended be free to use?
A: Yes. Activision/Infinity Ward claims every mods that are affiliated to their games. Making money from the mods is violate their terms: you don't want troubles, don't you? CoDExtended is free, so is CoDUOExtended.
Q: Will CoDUOExtended be downloadable in future releases?
A: No, for now. It depends its author (phpcod): this due to lack of respect toward the author works (some modder just rip others work without asking). However, CoDUOExtended will be fully integrated to Battlefront main server(s).
Q: What if I want to run Battlefront server with CoDUOExtended integrated?
A: As long as you respect its author (phpcod) terms.
Q: Can I run CoDUOExtended on my linux server?
A: No, for now. CoDUOExtended is made for Windows only. Maybe in the future, it depends on its author.
Q: What if I dont want CoDUOExtended integrated to my server?
A: A CoDUOExtended-free server file will be released as always.
Q: I dont have CoDUOExtended installed on my CoDUO, am I able to join CoDUOExtended-integrated servers?
A: Yes. CoDUOExtended is made for developers, thus only the server side of the mod is affected, not the client side. You can still play every servers, with or without CoDUOExtended on your game.
