Carnivores Ice Age features animals from the Cenozoic Era, but most are from the Pleistocene epoch.

Ambient Animals:

NOTE: They are extremely common ambient animals and they are found in abundance due to their non-pointable nature.

1. Pig

Pigs are ambient animals that roam about, eat, and run when frightened. Like the case between Gallimimus and Velociraptor, the pig could be mistaken for the wild boar, very easily. It is not easy to tell them apart because they have they same kind of skin tone, but wild boars have large tusks and the wild boar has a size difference. Under certain circumstances, it can also be mistaken for a wolf and its footsteps could be mistaken as an approaching predator.

2. Archaeopteryx

The Archaeopteryx is an ambient animal that does nothing but fly around the landscape and screech. The Earth Archaeopteryx lived in coastal locales. It was also probably not an active flier, instead gliding between trees and the ground with occasional flaps to help gain and maintain altitude. By comparison, the Archaeopteryx found on FMM UV-32 seems to live almost exclusively in sub-polar and polar environments and spends extended periods of time in the air.

Pointable Animals:

Once hunted, These animals will give you credits which you can use unlock new animals/maps/weapons.

1.Brontotherium

brontotherium

The Brontotherium is the first and cheapest animal available to hunt, and is the second largest herbivore in the game. In the game, the animal is covered in fur, although there is no solid evidence for this from the fossil record. Although it is classified as not dangerous in-game, it can still kill the player if disturbed or wounded at a close range. This also occurs with the Giant deer. It is possible to be confused with the Wooly rhinocerosor the Mammoth from a distance, but this is unlikely due to differences in size and shape. Brontotherium kills the player by smashing him with its strong front legs. Its dinosaur call is that it makes a loud and high pitched voice that sounds like a sea lion.

2.Wild Boar

Wild Boar

The wild boar is the second animal available to hunt. It will attack the hunter if wounded or cornered, then it impales the hunter and shakes him around on its huge tusks. Similar to the case between Gallimimusand Velociraptor, the pig could be mistaken for the wild boar, but unlikely as the animals mentioned before. It is easier to tell them apart at a distance due to the large difference in overall size and skin color. It is also the only modern animal available to hunt, with the unconfirmed yeti as a possibility.

3.Wolf

Wolf

The wolf is the second most aggressive carnivore in Carnivores Ice Age, and is third animal available to hunt. It roams the landscape howling for its brethren, then attacks and tears any unlucky hunter to shreds. The wolf's behavior is similar to that of the Velociraptor, Allosaurus, and Spinosaurus from Carnivores 2. However, much closer to the Spinosaurus because it has idle animation frames. The wolf will charge the hunter at close range swerving in a zigzag pattern similar to the smaller carnivores noted above, and will jump at the player with a loud bark when at close range. It kills the hunter by grabbing his right leg and shaking him violently by its mouth.

4.Woolly Rhinoceros

Woolly Rhino

The woolly rhinoceros is the fourth animal available to hunt. It is dangerous when cornered or surprised, and will gore any hunter that gets too close with its sharp horns. It is also commonly seen while not being hunted. It can be mistaken for the Brontotherium(it’s Cousin) at long distances. Its dinosaur sounds like a combination of a roar and a cow's moo.

5.Diatryma

diatryma

The Diatryma is the second carnivore available to hunt in Carnivores Ice Age, and is the only pointable animal that is not a mammal. It behaves very similar to the Allosaurus and Velociraptor from Carnivores 2, like jumping to attack its victims and eating their corpses instead of swinging them around in its mouth. It is also commonly seen while not being hunted. Unlike other animals, the Diatryma is not afraid to cross water. The Diatryma is also the only creature in Carnivores Ice Age that the Observer Mode works effectively on. The Diatryma appears to be omnivorous to a small extent. While walking the Diatryma will occassionally stop and graze on what could be plants, fruits and seeds, and or insects. Its dinosaur call sounds like a chilling eagle sound.

6.Giant Deer

giant deer

The giant deer is available to hunt in Carnivores Ice Age after the player earns 100 credits. It is normally peaceful, but incorrectly stated as "not dangerous". At close range, the giant deer will gore the player with its huge antlers and shake him violently like a rag doll. It is also commonly seen while not being hunted. It is also one of the weakest creatures in the game, capable of being brought down with a close shot of the X-Bow, Shotgun, or DB Shotgun. Its dinosaur call sounds like the Earth's American Moose or Elk.

7.Smilodon

smilodon

The Smilodon is unlocked in Carnivores Ice Age after the player earns 250 points. It is the most aggressive carnivore in the game, and rightly described as "extremely dangerous". The Smilodon will pounce at the player similar to an Allosaurus or similar carnivore from Carnivores 2. However, it is much closer to the Spinosaurus in terms of animation behavior due to it using idle animations. However, it cannot slide to make sharp turns like the small carnivorous dinosaurs above and Diatryma can. It has to U-turn to turn around. It shares this trait with the wolf. When the hunter is killed by it, the Smilodon will slam the hunter's body repeatedly on the ground with his right arm in its mouth. It shares this type of killing animation with the bear. Although often rarely encountered, the Smilodon will spawn even while not hunting for it, making it a bigger threat to the hunter than it already is. The level of aggressiveness it has towards the hunter ensures this. Its dinosaur call is similar to lions or tigers.

8.Mammoth

mammoth

The mammoth is the largest and most easily recognizable animal in Carnivores Ice Age. It is available to hunt after earning 300 credits, and will use its trunk to smash unwary hunters. The mammoth's killing animation is similar to the Tyrannosaurus', swinging the hunter side-to-side then smashing the hunter into the ground. The mammoth is very slow and large, making it a good target for more powerful weapons. Often, if using a stronger weapon, the mammoth can be brought down while charging. However, it is still dangerous at closer ranges so the hunter should still be careful. When a mammoth is charging, the telltale signs to listen for are large tremor like sounds. Despite their size, mammoths can be easily brought down with a rifle with just four shots.

9.Bear

bear

The bears found in FMM UV-32 resemble the bears found on Earth. Despite being labeled as extremely dangerous, the bear is a very shy predator, and it tends flee away from the hunter unless it gets cornered, forcing it to attack, making it a pain to hunt for clients. This make it one of the lesser aggressive creatures on the planet. It is highly advised to check your wind indicator and get your weapons ready when in proximity of this predator. The Yeti is known to mimic the bears' behavior and call. The reason for this is not known at this time.

10.Yeti

Yeti

Bigfoot, also known as The Yeti, is the final animal available to hunt in Carnivores Ice Age, and the first secret animal to feature in the franchise. It costs 1000 points to hunt, and is based off the various ape-homonid legends from around the world (specifically the Bigfoot/Sasquatch of North America and the Yeti of the Himalayas).

Hidden yeti

In the original Carnivores Ice Age (PC version), this creature is called Bigfoot, and is named a 'secret bonus animal' until unlocked at 1000 points.
