Test-run of a simple day-night cycle situation. Night-time would have moon light but it's too faint for the video to capture. In-game moon-light would be barely visible. This is on purpose. Dragons see better at night without giving themselves away using a flash light. Two screenshots are also provided in the gallery where you can better see the night-time.
ModDB and HD problem: like always video on YouTube( Youtube.com ) and Direct-Download( Dragengine.rptd.ch , ~25MB)
IMO, it is usually brighter than that at night :) At least we never have a total dark night here, the moon/stars always provide a little view.
From my experience in military service being out at night where you don't want to be seen it can be really dark unless you have a full moon. This here is not supposed to be full moon though although the image is a full moon one. The intensity can though be increased if required.
thats quite dark.. :P
It ofcourse depends where this takes place in but none the less in a clear field with no trees you would see better than blackness as moon refrects some light. Atleast here in scandinavia.
Keep in mind this is a video. Video codecs fail at this contrast level and it all becomes pitch black. In the actual ingame situation I taped here you see the moon light rather well. I just have no way to capture it using a video. Tried various codecs but they all fail at this contrast level. So you have to imagine it being brighter.
