This is a 2004 unfinished demo of Ultima 8 for NwN. It was created as a proof of concept demo.
Note this mod requires two hakpacks to run. Demon1.hak and CEP. Demon hak is included with this zip. CEP can be downloaded here.

To the player: A Cry For Help
What you have here is a remake of Ultima VIII - Pagan at about 35% complete. Here is a list of things that have been completed:
Completed:
Keyring: Just like the original you now can place keys on a keyring so that they do not clutter your inventory.
Opening Cutscene: I have completed the opening cutscene of Toran's execution. The dialogue is correct because I found a source on the web. I still need to refine the scene by having the executioner actually step up and take a wack at Toran but I have left it for another day.
Areas: God! Only about 15% complete there. I've got all the areas made connected but I've got a long ways to go. I sure could use some original layout maps *hint* *hint*
Recall Item: The Recall Stone works :) Instead of having an existing preset marker now players activate the various platforms and thus can choose where they would like to teleport. Pretty nifty I would say...
Dialogue: Not so great. I've got dialogue for the characters involved so far, but I haven't got a clue weather it's correct. (I don't own an original copy of Ultima VIII) I simply wrote whats there so I could progress with area creation and such. *See the bottom of this readme for more details*
Characters: I've got all the major players completed and ready for use. At least the ones I will be working with at this point in the modules creation.
Music: I managed to get a hold of the original MIDI files and have converted them to BMU format. They will be released as a hak pak with the module. I do intend to release 2 versions of the game. One requiring the hak and another that does not. The reason being is that I know what it's like to have dial-up and see a module but not be able to get it because the hak is 300 meg. It will still require CEP, the demon hak, and the AltCity haks. But these are all relativly small (except for CEP. But I got it in 2 days on dial-up)
Story: This goes back to dialogue. Without proper character conversations the story is gonna be kinda shallow and fuzzy. This brings me to my next question...
Can someone out there help me out. I would like this module to be as close to the original as possible. I have scoured the web in search of material and found alot of great resources. A few maps...a complete listing of every book and scroll in the game...character stats...cutscene dialogue...But what I really need are maps detailing the locations of each dungeon, every building. I also need the Character Conversations. You know, the ones where the character walks up and talks to the NPCs. If someone would care to donate any of these resources it would be greatly appreciated.
