Official patch 1.4 for True Stalker that fixes some of the flaws and crashes
- Fixed a crash after a robbery on Cordon if the player killed the military on Dityatki;
- Fixed a crash in the "Stranger Things" quest when Fanatic or Yurok moved to the destination after the cut-scene;
- Fixed bugs due to which it was possible to catch a plot breakdown on Cordon (technician’s quest for poltergeists, trader’s quest for dogs);
- Fixed a bug where the Termite would get stuck in the door in the scene;
- Fixed a bug in which it was impossible to progress through the quest "Missing Stalker" (Kiryukha was lying and nothing happened);
- Fixed a bug due to which trade could be blocked when purchasing caches from Sidorovich and Fanatic
- Fixed a bug due to which the sale of APB was too profitable;
- When upgrading some costumes to reduce weight, their weight now decreases less;
- NPCs can now see less through bushes;
- Corrected some characteristics of the main character;
- Various text corrections (for all localizations, thanks to jjzargo aka E'ruiq for the English corrections).
Hello! I installed the update and start the save and it throws me to the desktop without any error message. When I start a new game I have the same problem. If I reload the game and after 1.4 update I still get the same situation..it throws me to the desktop without error message What could be the problem?
Well if I don't copy the bin folder from the 1.4 folder only the content then it doesn't throw me to the desktop and starts fine but unfortunately I have to start a new game, looking at the bin folder I guess it's something to do with xrEngine but I don't know how to modify it, but if I don't copy the bin folder it works fine and it's 1.4 version in the menu....I hope there is nothing important in the bin folder that I need..
So I had the same issue. The way I fixed it was by installing all patches (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 at the time) in order. I originally jumped to 1.4 thinking it had the following updates, it seems it doesnt. Since re-installing in order hasnt crashed and no need for a new save. Hope this helps you too
don't use the PlayGame.exe dude, use the desktop icon to launch the game, however i solve it by this
I would reinstall the entire modpack, and unpack each update individually, in order. I played through the game and never had any serious crashing issues, more put together than AAA games.

The bandits seemed oddly eagle eyed and trickshot me with pistols 50m away through a bush, i assume this will resolve that? lol

Same problem. After 1.4 patch and loading last save, game always crash to the desktop.
Please reduce the mutant respawns even more, at least by a day or two... they respawn very fast, you clear some place and the same mutants are there like an in-game hour later, it feels like I'm playing some MMO...
Or at least make different mutants appear, so it feels like new ones moved there... not the same ones.
Is this update cumulative ? Do I need to put in the other patches before this one ?
no, they aren't; you have to install them all in the right order.

At least a little fast travel would be nice. With A-Life barely existing if at all long trips with the fast and never changing mutant spawns really become tiresome after a while.
At least a guide letting me fast travel from Barman to Sid would be much appreciated! Otherwise mod is great so far, but I really don't want to sprint back to Sid again...

Buckshot dispersion rate is 10x what is should be, its ridiculous. Buckshot is only usable at melee distance.
"Dead man's stuff" stash is not accessible, managed to reach it but no interaction appears.

On 1.4 and I am still waiting for him to finish the rifle and told to report findings on poltergeists (no dialog options available)

The Task that asks me to bring a present to Sergeant Lyubeznov in The Bar is bugged, specifically when I go to get the stash after the sergeant gives me his keys, the stash gets bugged and shows up at the edge of the map out of bounds.

The red dot is where the waypoint of the task was at the beginning, but when I approach that waypoint, it moves to out of bounds top left.
Hey this isn't a bug, the tunnel just really goes that deep. At its deepest the player marker goes off the map.

I really dig the storyline, in fact that is the only thing that makes me play this mod. But, dude please add a fast travel system, atleast to rookie village from every map. It is such a pain to run till rookie village for upgrades. Besides the maps are filled with gravity anomalies
it is okay to play with these for the 1st few hours, after that it gets really annoying.

ngl, this has to be the most optimized stalker experience i ever had. not a single crash, and i hope this update doesnt make me have one. BUT, theres a lot of other stuff that is odd and a lot of the comments are pointing out those issues. just more updates fixing this details like the dispersion of buckshot for example and the amount of mutants that spawn (i saw eleven boars in less than 5 square meters) and yeah, for me is going to be the best mod
Is some sort of fast travel/guide planned? I'm loving the experience otherwise, but travelling back and forth is a huge chore.
I discovered a curious bug in my game: I upgraded the steel helmet that's given as a quest reward in chapter 2 with 2nd gen night vision, but that upgrade doesn't show (it only shows first gen when examining it) yet when I use its night vision sometimes it is 2nd gen, while other times it is 1st gen.
Stuck in X18 after the quest there with bandits. objective is to return to surface, but when I try to leave it says I can't leave yet.

Ive no idea why, but the Game most of the time crashes at Start, sometimes it starts and then works flawlessly... very strange.
I had a weird problem.The first time I lauched the game and everything went well,I played like for 2h and quit.Then the second time I tried to launch the game but all failed(either from the desktop or from the root folder).Does anyone have the similiar problem like this?

I somehow fixed this problem by only putting content folder in patch 1.4 in the original game(and of course I reinstlled the whole game).I think there's something wrong with patch 1.4 bin folder so I recommend not touching it and after patching up 1.4 content folder in game it still shows version 1.4.

I complete Chapter 6 and,still,I think you should double the damage for every gun,and reconfig the damage for 5.45 guns,just keep it the same as 5.56,it will be fine.

Can the pickup range of the character please be increased i am in chapter 7 and there are 2 artifacts spawning under water (kolobok and mama's beads) that i just cant reach even when crouching.

Need help fellow stalkers. When i want to go to options (main menu or mid play) the game freezes and crashes to desktop. So i cant go to options. Any advice?
I can't save my game at all, the game says it's saved (when I use Quicksave or manual save) but the "LOAD" screen stays empty.
