Good question, let me explain :)
The cutscenes provided in TR 5.0 are 1280x720p. This is so that the build wont be overly big. They will work even with higher resolution like FHD.
However, if someone plays at 1920x1080p, you can upgrade to FHD cutscenes if you want that sweet additional pixels and sharpness.
Note, that TS cant downscale (only upscale) movies, so these cutscenes wont work with any game resolution below 1920x1080p.

The sad part is, that at 1920x1080 or higher the game sprites become so small it's either outright unplayable or not fun to play. Wish there was a screen and an internal rendering resolution; render it at 720p, then blow it up to screen resolution, and you can still see the higher res videos.
I know, thats kind of an unfortunate way of TS handling this... :(
