This is an older version of Total Chaos and is left online for legacy reasons. Please download the latest version 0.97.4.
This version runs standalone, and does not require the doom2.wad file.
It includes Freedoom, GZDoom and the Total Chaos Launcher.
Total Chaos is a total conversion mod for Doom 2 that runs on the GZDoom source port. The mod is a survival horror set on a remote island known as Fort Oasis. The island was once run by a community of coal miners which one day suddenly disappeared, leaving behind the abandoned concrete jungle to waste away. Something, clearly, has gone very wrong with this place. Upon your arrival at Fort Oasis, you receive a strange radio transmission. Someone wants to he found. Survive in 6 chapters, against over 8 horrifying fiends with a large assortment of weapons.

Explore the island of Fort Oasis in 6 chapters. In these chapters you will fight through apartments, utility tunnels, shopping centers, before reaching the city center and the mines that await you.
Fight against horrifying fiends
In every chapter, you will encounter new and even more horrifying creations. Each one processing their own unique attack patterns. Learning these is vital to surviving the oncoming onslaught.
Dispatch of them with a large assortment of weapons
Use anything you can find on the island to fight against the forces of evil. There are guns, but ammo for them is incredibly hard to come by. You will mostly be relying on tire irons, pickaxes, shivs and garden tools. Most of these can be crafted and some can be upgraded to wield more powerful blows.

Great, but the camera movements cause slight nausea during the rotation...
You should be able to disable camera motion via the options menu, or console commands tc_camera_sway and tc_camera_walkbob
So did my last comment get deleted due to the fact I mentioned the game is very unbalanced, hit boxes of zombies is way of especially when the punch wallscfscing side words they still hit you, also the weapons are to weak. Health is scarce, zombies come in 3's at certain parts in narrow passage ways and you get boxed into??? Care to explain why you are deleting comments before I report because of your cencorship!

IS there a difference between this one and the normal mod? Like in actual gameplay or graphics.
They are both the same, this version comes bundled with a launcher, GZDoom and Freedoom.
I really wanted to try this mod but i was unable to launch total chaos from the GZDoom menu, the only options I am given are Doom2 and Freedoom. After attempting multiple times i am no longer able to launch gzdoom and the application runs then closes. I downloaded the full stand-alone edition.
I dont know if you need any specifics (my system, or some secret log file) but if you ask i will give whatever i got.
