It continues to regenerate even if the player dies. Do you have fix?

Great mod, but I have an issue with Ashes most recent version in episode 2.

With this mod enabled the health regenerates but the bullet smoke from the barrel gets this really annoying effect, like it's shooting fire instead of smoke?

Without the mod the bullet shoots smoke as it would originally.

EDIT: I most also mention, I'm also using Bolognese mod, not sure if that can have an effect, can't really check it out right now. Sorry :/

This Health Regen mod shouldn't affect any sprites, but I tested it and didn't find any bugs using only these files :

Ashes :

Bolognese :

Found the issue!!!

Anywho, turns out if I ran those two files by itself with the regen mode the effect didn't got that weird fire effect thingy.

I narrowed it down to freedom2.wad, a wad I was using because I copied the commands in the standalone release of Ashes, in the .bat files to launch episode 2 they attach these pk3 & wad files:

-file freedoom2.wad

-file AshesSAMenu.pk3

-file AshesAfterglow1_10.pk3

With Menu, bolognese, and regen, ashes standalone afterglow pk3 works just fine, but as soon as you add freedom2 wad I start getting this weird effect.

Either way, Freedom2.wad doesn't seem necessary for bolog, regen, or ashes to function, so I really couldn't care less, I'm just happy I got this mod running, it makes the gameplay so much different but I enjoy it so much.

Thanks again.

EDIT:
Okay, nevermind, it wasn't Freedom.wad, I spoke a bit too soon, I'm not sure honestly what setting is or was... But after resetting everything in gzdoom by default it fixed it, it's really weird though, I didn't experience this issue before using the mod, and after restorting most of my settings to what thaey used to be, I'm also not experiencing with your mod anymore, so who knows really what setting I changed that caused some sort incompatibility with your mod, but either way. It's fixed now, just had to reset everything by default and then check what if any setting I changed did something to the regen mod, fov, sector lights, etc.

Thankfully none had any effect on the muzzle flash nor the smoke of the gun anymore, just an odd issue really.
