well ive installed it but its not working. placed the fullmod folder in mods and set the shortcut path.

Install.txt is wrong written ;)
It should be like this:
Extract contents of file: FULL_MOD_MAIN into:
Steam/steamapps/common/star wars empire at war/GameData/Mods/DATA
then make a shortcut.
if you are not using steam, would you just use the usual programs(x86)/lucasarts/star wars empire at war/mods file location?
yes, I would not suggest the overwrite method. I only do it because I personally find it more efficient.

Thank you for catching that... I dont ModPath or ModFolder my files, I know its not too smart.
If anyone was having trouble with Land Fighter Units crashing the game, I believe that problem is over now.
I was wrong, but I believe I know the reason now.
just to check, but planets are missing land or space because you havnt done the mas yet right?

Some planets, have no surface map, no star or land bases. This is to make the game harder, and there is allot to do with AI restrictions because if the planets all have level 5 star bases, the AI will build them all quickly, and that would be a superbitch. I will keep releasing Map Patches, with new planets and updated maps. Are there actually missing space maps?
fix the issue with capital ships i cant get them to turn I am on mac

so how does this work i don't use a steam version
There are two ways you can try. You can overwrite the main files, or you can Modfolder them. I use the overwrite method personally but is is not recommended. but if you do use that way, have a backup of the original files. If you are still having trouble message me and we will figure it out.
Why is overwriting not reccomended? What is the performance difference between modfolder and overwrite?
You will be more likely to mess something up if you overwrite the files constantly, it is a precautionary thing. I do it anyway because I find it more convenient.
How do you Mod folder it? (I have the gold edition) I created a folder called mods but I'm sure there's more to it then that. How do you start the game

I'm glad you think so. when first saw this game, I was immediately turned off by the image of the AT-AT staring at its feet, shooting at enemy troops.
A lot of good ideas, but definitely needs refinement. And yes I know this is a beta.
I can see the reasoning behind the individual fighters, but in the end it just makes the space battles feel messy and awkward. Actually the biggest mistake most mods make, I think, is the over abundance of fighters. They might make the game more realistic but less fun.
When the next release is out, each fighter will have a Search And Destroy (Hunt For Enemies) ability, making them more independent, and, I intend to remove the GUI Icons distinguishing the squadrons, since they are no longer in groups. This will reduce the clutter and free up the maps visually.
Looking forward to it. I'm skeptic by nature but I really hope it works!
