Any mods that worked with version 2.8 should work with 2.9 I think. Unless they overwrite the .dll files. Just keep in mind. This is for CoP NOT CoC. As far as I know most mods for CoP don't work in CoC without modification.

So i was just downloading the ol' 2.8 version, but for some reason i decided to go CoP page here at moddb. Then i was looking through the last posted mods and... BOOM, STCOP 2.9 POSTED 2 HOURS AGO, and fricking translated! Man, i'm so happy, thank you so much.

Stumbled upon the russian original version after looking for the 2.9 release. Used the translation for 2.8 as a basis. Cleaned it up and added the new stuff. Should you find any errors in the translation let me know and I'll upload a fixed version.
Yes, the spawn menu is entirely in cyrilllic.
Yeah I didn't translate it since I only really use it when spawning weapons, ammo and attachements for checking translation errors (or goofing around) and once you figure out what means what its pretty easy to navigate. But if you want I can take a look at it in the coming days and upload it as an optional download or something like that.
For reference, the file that needs to be edited is the ui_god_dialog.script file under gamedata->scripts.

Hi and thanks for the great mod! I have a problem with usp and sig p220 when upgrading to full-auto and 3-round burst respectively, fire mode does not change and stays sigle fire only. Any help?
I sadly can't give much support since I didn't create the mod, I just reuploaded it and added a translation. However I think I know what you mean. I noticed this on other weapons aswell, I don't think that problem is in the translation but in the original files aswell. I assume they simply copy and pasted that upgrade description. What it actually does is heighten the fire rate. That part is sadly not clear enough.

Upgrades with three bullets improve the fire rate. With one bullet and a curve improve flatness. Those are not fire mode upgrades.
Go to configs\weapons. Find the weapon you need and change weapon class
WP_PM to WP_LR300
then find
anm_reload, after "=" replace with contents of the this line anm_reload_empty , so you will get
anm_reload = usp45_reload_empty, reload_empty
anm_reload_empty = usp45_reload_empty, reload_empty

How do I port it to Clear Sky (If it's possible)
I don't think you can port it to Clear Sky. The engine in Clear Sky is older and got quite a bit of added stuff with CoP. There is a version of this for Call of Chernobyl which would allow you to atleast the areas of Clear Sky, but you sadly can't directly port this as far as I am aware.

It's also an official version. It looks like the 2.9 changes are planned, but havn't been updated yet.
will it work with sgm 2.2 ?
I am sadly not very familiar with sgm 2.2. This mod does overwrite the vanilla weapons though so I would assume it is not.
is there a way to increase FOV with this mod? Since this replaces xrengine.dll and many other files, the original FOV switcher doesn't work. It crashes the game.
As far as I know, there is sadly no way to change the FoV with this mod. But it's been a while since I looked into it and maybe there is a way now or there is one I am not remembering.
I took a look at the original post this mod is from and put it through google translate. This is the part that talks about the FoV and the bin folder:
All files in the bin folder can not be changed at all! They include important edits on the operation of sights, ill-fated mp_ranks, as well as the following settings:
r__detail_density - adjusts the density of the grass. It is recommended to put 0.4;
r_detail_radius - adjustment of the range of drawing grass - from 49 to 250;
fov - angle of view, put any;
hud_fov - the angle of the weapon itself, you can experiment.

STCoP already includes a version of Console Controlled FOV (or equivalent). Just installing the mod allows you to change the FOV settings from the console using the "fov X" and "hud_fov X" commands, X being your desired value.

I have a problem with this mod, for some weapons the description is missing, it just display "st_wpn_ak_..._descrpt". I have a german version of CoP and had this problem before, most of the mods turn the game to english and thus fix that problem but with this the game stays german and therefore the descriptions are bugged for alot of guns.
Is there any way i can fix or workaround that? Maybe with files from the CoC version of the weapon pack?

First of all it's quite a while so I can't garantuee this will work, but it should. If you open the folder the tranlation is in you will see that the actual files are in the folder \gamedata\configs\text\eng. Now if I remember correctly the actual Call of Prypjat folder had multiple language folders for each language with the german folder being called "ger". So if you take the tranlation files and put them into the ger folder instead of the eng folder it should overwrite the german language ingame.
I hope this made sense to you, if you want I can also explain it to you german in case I didn't explain it properly in english. :)

strangely, this error just appeared out of the blue, the game was crash free before I re loaded said save
never mind, turns out the cause was the fsgame.ltx somehow reverting to default.
the model for wa 2000 does not exist tho,probably an oversight from dev
Is this a rework of the ''gunplay'' or just the textures etc.?
It replaces most of the vanilla weapons and adds a lot more new weapons, attachements and gear. So it's definitly more then just a texturemod.

I guess we will have to wait for an official 2.9 version for CoC unless someone does an unofficial one before that.
I try to porting only weapons models, sound and config files from 2.9 to 2.8 for CoC. It seems to work for now...
I need to test it. If it works, I upload the addon here on mod db.
It will not be a real 2.9 but a 2.8 with some models fix and other features from 2.9.

No, this is for CoP only. There are addons specificly for CoC that are seperate from this. However I have nothing to do with those so I couldn't tell you on what version they currently are. Hope this helped :)

There's no npc in the game
Did they simply dissapear or are they invisible. Did you start a new game after installing the mod and installed the newest patch? I personally never witnessed this bug.
