Hi I'm going to make this as simple as posible to
understand so you can get testing v0.05a as soon
as posible.
=================Requirements====================
1) Rome total War v1.5 vanilla
2) 180MB free hard disk space
=================Installation====================
1)Extract the files from the Archive into:
C:\Program files\Activision\Rome - Total War\
2)copy the SWTW.lnk shortcut to your desktop or
start menu, this is used to start up the mod
I don't get it. I've done what the info told me to do; extract files to Rome-total war\...but nothing happened. The shortcut does NOT WORK. I copied and pasted it to the desktop, ran it, then a error shows up. It says make sure you entered the correct CD or w.e...PLEASE HELP.
I know its like 10 years to late, but heres some closure
the Shortcut works. If you own it through steam, you have to tell it to look for the game where ever you've actually got it located. for example the following:
TARGET: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rome Total War Gold\RomeTW.exe" -show_err -mod:SWTW -enable_editor
You can do this by simply finding where u have it installed, Right click on the Application, then go properties, then copy the location. Just make sure to tack on the name of the application with the .exe prefix (like this: RomeTW.exe)
That will make the Shortcut work.

No Campaign?
5 years late but, this was apparently a developer branch version. He disables campaign mode or what ever with this version.
It says star wars, pick between 3 factions but you just end up playing as the romans. lame

NOTICE: The shortcut may use the INCORRECT path to the game if own it thru steam.
HOWEVER i changed mine to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rome Total War Gold
And all the shortcut does is Open that folder, should i set it to include one of the EXEs? Should it look like
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rome Total War Gold\RomeTW.exe
i've likely already tried this by the time i get a response so i'll let you guys know.
Edit: That did work sort of. but it crashed the whole computer.
