Description

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games never really had any effective anti-aliasing methods, and the ones that were there were overly expensive. This is to be expected when you consider that the X-Ray engine has a deferred renderer which are notoriously difficult to anti-alias, at least that's how it was back then. The best way to anti-alias a game like this is using a temporal method, which is something I always wanted to see in S.T.A.L.K.E.R, and now I've made an effective Reshade preset for just that. So, in the zip you'll find the reshade-shaders folder that you can simply extract into your game bin folder after installing DXVK and Reshade. In terms of performance, I've been testing it on 4k and it is quite expensive, so I reduced the Motion Vector quality to half-res, so if you use it on a lower res you might wanna try setting it to full res instead to reduce any artifacts in motion. Please post your performance results below so others can get an idea of how it runs.

I tried to install this as per the instructions, but upon attempting to launch the game, the game window wouldn't appear. I uninstalled and reinstalled my game, and made sure that it would run before installing the reshade again, instead following the Simple instructions, and still the game wouldn't launch. Perhaps this doesn't work with the GOG version of Shadow of Chernobyl?
