This is part 1 of 2 of the Total FotS: Scramble of the Far East mod beta 9. You need to download part 2 to have the full mod. READ the DESCRIPTION how to install the mod and for any additional info about bug fixes, known bugs and new additions to the mod. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY PREVIOUS VERSION (BETA OR ALPHA)! YOU MUST DELTE PREVIOUS VERSION AND INSTALL THIS ONE INSTEAD. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY OTHER MOD!
Install:
1. Extract the "beta_9_part_1.7z" and open the extracted folder.
2. Add the 5 pack files (totalf_V2_animations.pack, totalf_V2_main.pack, totalf_V2_models_parts.pack, totalf_V2_submod_sots.pack and totalf_V2_ui.pack) to your Shogun 2 data folder (Usually found by default at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War SHOGUN 2\data).
3. Download part 2 and do the same as step 1 and 2 (look at the install instructions of part 2).
4. Run the game and activate the pack files with mod manager.
5. Enjoy the game!
Changelog:
- Added complete navies for the western and Japanese factions (all tiers).
- Added garrison units (like mortars).
- Revamped some stuff for the Japanese factions (like the tech tree).
- Japanese factions have now tier 2 units (Boshin era).
- Western factions can now upgrade buildings that belongs to another culture (no need to destroy it, only if you want another building chain).
- Western factions have now more unique effect buffs for their tech tree (Brits more ship buffs, Dutch more economic buffs, etc...).
- Added new music (more Victorian era feeling let's say).
- Now only max 3 units cap per agent type (this for preventing the AI to spam agents. There is a possibility that it will be even lowered, dependable of the feedback).
- Sail and traditional ships can now be recruited from the lowest level port building. All wooden type ships can be recruited from a port (except a fishing port) + beginning cap is 1. This means you can only recruit 1 ship per type (this can be increased by the dynamic unit cap).
- Modernization has been (slightly) lowered (dependable of nation you play). Traditional nations modernize slower than more modern nations.
- Added (Asian) conscripts and volunteer infantry.
- Arrow units have a lower damage and accuracy.
- There are probably more Tweaks and such as i don't remember them all.
And so much more...
NOT SAVE COMPATIBLE WITH PREVIOUS BETA (campaign and battle replays)! YOU NEED TO START A NEW CAMPAIGN!
Known issues:
- Not all land unit selection sounds and such work. This will be fixed in later updates. Graphic glitch could appear still (especially with factions with a lot of texture maps aka UK, France and Russia).
At last, tier 2 units! Looking forward to see tier 2 units for European nations.

Is there any possibility to add food system to FOTS ? I can play the mod only with DirectX 9. With 11 it keeps crashing during battles...
Yes, but it will not be implemented in this mod. If you have any problems with DirectX, than you need to see if you have all correct drivers. That's not the mod, but mostly on your end (GPU or graphics settings). Lower your graphics in DirectX 11.
