Greetings Generals! Our battlefield reconnaissance and your feedback has informed of us of certain issues that you’ve been facing. So we’ve released a patch for your battle software to stop them once and for all. We’ve fixed the crusader shell exploit that some were abusing and we’ve added a quickstart menu so that you can jump into the battlefield right away along with other minor fixes.

This guide more or less applies to RotR.
Great job guys :D
Can you please say how to play multiplayer?
Normal multiplayer (Generals Online) will work fine, but only if the person you're playing is also running exactly the same mod as you, so the odds are getting a match this way unless you arrange it out-of-game over MSN with friends or something are pretty slim. Instead, the ROTR team provides Hamachi networks. Hamachi is software that sets up a virtual LAN between participants. The guide on how to get Hamachi working is here:
forum.cncreneclips.com/index.php?showtopic=5165
But instead of the networks at the bottom of the opening post on the above page (which are for RotR's sister mod ShockWave), use the ones here:

If you have any more questions, simply join and create a topic on the official support forums here:
forum.cncreneclips.com/index.php?showforum=232
And I can personally guarantee you'll get a whole bunch of people willing to help you out.
Good luck, and have fun! RotR is by far at its best in multiplayer.
thank you for the answer CommanderJRB
But one last thing how can i play with hamachi after joining the networks.please answer
Sure! Simply start up the game and click on 'multiplayer', but instead of selecting 'online', go to 'network' instead. There you'll find anyone who's online in the network that's running a copy of Zero Hour, and you can game with them just like on a LAN. While there's usually a few people online at any given time they're not always going to be in-game, so before you start up, if I were you I'd use Hamachi's chat function (right-click on the network heading and select network chat to talk to everyone online in that network) to invite people to a game. There's almost always someone ready to have a match, so again, good luck!
already!!!
great!!!!!

Thank you again Commander JRB .

omg it is finally here they day i don't monitor it is the day it come out....what a relief it thought the mod died i am a bit paranoid...lol...most mods i monitor end up dieing...so i am happy it made it out.....RAWR TIME to sow the Americans that Russia rocks.....
if you have SWR edition, then do you have to get the normal one before installing this patch? thanks
This patch is now out of date. The only things you need to run the most modern version of Rise of the Reds are the 1.0 full release and the 1.2 patch, both of which can be found here on ModDB. If I were you, however, I'd wait just a little longer until the new version 1.5 is released.
i mean may you patch with the SWR edition or do you NEED to have the normal 1.0 instead of the SWR edition one, thats what i mean,
Hey , this is the best mod I have ever down loaded, and I have down loaded many. Such as destructive forces , contra, starwars, blitz krieg, and MEC , but the thing that makes this one stand out is the AI and the brillent professional models and character of the game as a whole.
It feels like I have been to the shop and purchased an add on to generals.
also the fx, for explosians are exelent although i hope you will include some big scatter bombs, and fuel air bombs, as seen in destructive forces.
can't find ROTR_Beta EXE file
