Some of you still had CtD's with the patch 1. It seemed to be a problem with the upload so I reuploaded a new .zip containing the Patch 1 and intense testing with the help and testing of Gustav Mahler from TWC.
To install Patch 1:
1. Activate RotR via starting the launcher (basic setting is vanilla ETW) and click on "Switch", then a RotR lettering will appear
2. Then download Patch 1 and extract the RotR 1.1 Patch 1.zip file into your "[...]\steamapps\common\Empire Total War\data" folder. Overwrite the existing files!
You installed the Patch 1 correctly if the starting plantation buildings in the US have the suffix (US).

Sorry did you try to copy manually? If yes do you have admin rights?
If you were using the launcher, it automatically saves what it does in the file I noted above. I do need it to check what went wrong. It's in the same folder as the Launcher.exe.
crashes after around turn 28
The game keeps having runtime error on turn 9. I installed the full version first, 2nd is the hotfix, then the reuploaded patch.
For what ever reason it still crashes once I've picked a nation and its on the loading screen.
It seems something went wrong during installation. Please check if you followed this instructions: Moddb.com
Just wondering if I need the 1.1 hotfix as well as this?

Hello, I am currently encountering problems in installing this patch, for some reason when I extract patch 1.1 Reupload into the empire total war data folder, and click replace files, it doesn't allow me to do this, and when I try skipping all of them and then try launching the game it crashes. Any solutions to this problem?
Update - So after downloading this patch, I thought maybe I need to extract into a desktop folder before installing it, so I did this and found it was the files inside the patch .zip itself that are corrupt for some reason. I have posted a screenshot of what I mean, on my profile images.

I encountered a similar problem. It seems like you can extract it fine with 7zip however. Windows' standard zip does not work.

What can I do to fix this?
