Hey, great mod! Wanna play it, but is there a way to add permanent flashlight (like "Duct tape on all weapons" mod does), at least as an option? I know that classic flashlight is a part of Doom's terrifying atmosphere, but it was good in vanilla and doesn't suit your mod imo. Just a quality of life issue🙂

I downloaded yours Doom 3 Retaliation mod, played a few maps and now I must admit that this mod is amazing. Truly good work. Could you please do this mod for Doom 3 Resurrection of Evil and Doom 3 The Lost Mission?
this mod is great, i was having so much fun until it crashed at the end of the enproplant level.It shutdown when i pressed on the terminal to finish the level and it seems that i can't proceed because it crashes every time.
Here's the error from the console:
ERROR: Image 'env/desert2' has been referenced with conflicting cube map states
I finished it and i enjoyed it. I still think that there are things that you could fix though:
1)I couldn't select the weapons that you added (the pistol and the double shotgun) with a designated button but instead I had to use the mouse wheel (i don't know if there is indeed a button but in the options i didn't find any) and this screwed me over many times.
2)The cyberdemon fight was kinda disappointing because it was way too easy to just hide behind a rock and shoot him with everything you got.It was just a pushover with too many hp.
3)You really like revenants do ya?
4)After you return from hell you find yourself with just a pistol with a few shots and you have to face a room with two archviles that can spawn maggots, tentacles commandos and revenants...it's a bit too much. I don't know if this is a bug though because I found ammos for the other guns but I only had the new added pistol.
5)I think that you should increase the clip size of the machine gun and the chaingun because reloads are too slow. The chaingun in particular, I spent more time reloading than actually shooting because the rate of fire is insane.

Hi, thanks for the feedback, a lot of the things you said were intentional and here is my reasoning for them:
1)The autopistol and the super shotgun can easily be swapped into by using the flashlight and scrolling down with the mousewheel, I couldn't reliably try to make their own keybinds, so I apologize.
2)The cyberdemon fight was made so that you would move around and the cyberdemon would chase you, but if it is that easy to exploit then i'll for sure look into it.
3)Revenants are the most versatile enemy in the game.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
4)In that particular level, if you play it in hard and nightmare, it only gives you the pistol and grenades as weapons, you are meant to use the flashlight, fists, and soulcube to save as much ammo as you can for the harder fights. Also, if you survived the hell level, I don't doubt your capability for delta 5.
5)The machinegun's reload was sped up about 50% in the 2.01 patch, and the chaingun has the highest DPS in the game, so giving it a 50 round belt was the most reasonable way to balance it, it wasn't as much of a problem in my playtests since i switch weapons frequently.
6)Revenants are pretty easy to dodge if you use the dash.
I had so much fun playing the hell level and yes it was indeed a nightmare. The reloading for the machine gun seemed so slow to me maybe i ****** up with some files or something. I understand your reasoning for the chaingun but in my opinion you could for example lower the damage a bit and the rate of fire and slithly increase the clip size so that you can shoot for more than 2 seconds and not wait for about 3 or 4 to reload the gun without the possibility to change it in the process.But again these are my opinions and you can do whatever you want with your mod. Overall i think that you did a nice job and it was one of the best overhaul experiences i had with doom 3 mods.
thanks for the kind words, if the mod is a little too dark for you, you can use the weapon flashlight addon, or turn up the brightness in the video settings of the game, the mod still has about 90% of Doom 3's original lighting.

The mod has just been fixed, and the crash will no longer happen.

this mod is the best there is just one thing how do I make the mod a little clearer it's too dark for me thank you for your great work.
