Shadows aren't really "blurry" - impossible with sprites - so much as projected to floors and ceilings like wall shadows. This effect can be turned off in Settings.
The rl_lifespan CVar has been corrected and increasing this will improve performance at the cost of shadow smoothness.

Can't help you as I don't have that. User Android Ferret has successfully run the mod, however.

Ooh, Im happy to see people are starting to notice this mod, Ill be sure to try this new version when I get back to playing me some classic Dooms :)
